Overview
As a Modelling Engineer in the Defence Logistics sector, you will contribute to a significant project focused on data science, operational analysis, and quantitative modelling. This role offers a predominantly remote working arrangement, allowing you to leverage your expertise in logistics and cost modelling while collaborating with stakeholders to develop robust analytical solutions. You will join a team of experienced Digital Modellers and play a key role in addressing complex logistics challenges.
Responsibilities
- Develop logistics and logistical flow models.
- Build cost models and stock flow models.
- Create discrete-event logistical models.
- Apply quantitative analysis to address complex logistics problems.
- Translate real-world operational challenges into computational models.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and communicate modelling outputs.
- Work independently to deliver effective modelling solutions.
Requirements
- Current SC Clearance is essential.
- Proven experience in programming and quantitative modelling.
- Strong background in data science or operational analysis.
- Experience developing logistics, cost, or event-based models.
- Ability to work independently and make an immediate contribution.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Python or strong modelling experience in another programming language.
