Overview
The Product Owner will play a crucial role in the development of a SaaS platform by collaborating with various teams including Product, Engineering, UX, and commercial departments. This fully remote, 3-month contract position focuses on transforming customer and business needs into actionable priorities, thereby ensuring that the development process delivers significant value. The Product Owner will effectively communicate with stakeholders and drive continuous improvement, utilizing customer feedback and data to refine product offerings.
Responsibilities
- Own and prioritise the product backlog.
- Translate business and customer needs into user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Support delivery of the product roadmap.
- Work closely with Engineering, QA and UX throughout the development lifecycle.
- Lead backlog refinement and contribute to Agile ceremonies.
- Manage stakeholder expectations around priorities, scope and delivery.
- Use customer feedback and product data to identify improvement opportunities.
- Balance individual customer requirements with wider SaaS platform needs.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Product Owner within a SaaS or software environment.
- Strong knowledge of Agile software development practices.
- Experience managing product backlogs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Commercially aware with a strong customer focus.
- Experience collaborating with software engineering and UX teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience within B2B SaaS, APIs, integrations, or product analytics is advantageous.
