Overview
As a Senior Delivery Manager, you will lead a critical new Discovery phase within a central government consultancy, shaping product vision and establishing effective delivery governance. This remote role focuses on delivering best-in-class digital services for government while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure project success and adherence to GDS standards. You will be instrumental in driving projects forward, ensuring quality, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Discovery phase for innovative digital government services.
- Collaborate with Product/Service Managers and designers to define product roadmaps.
- Implement agile project management methodologies, promoting iterative development.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies and continuous retrospectives for team improvement.
- Identify and remove blockers to ensure smooth delivery processes.
- Establish robust delivery governance aligned with GDS standards.
- Provide tools and processes necessary for teams to deliver successful products and services.
- Foster strong relationships across teams, ensuring alignment and effective communication.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading Discovery phases within the Government Digital Service (GDS) frameworks.
- Strong background in agile environments, with hands-on experience in iterative delivery.
- Ability to mentor and align cross-functional teams effectively.
- Experience translating business needs into product outcomes through backlog management.
- Demonstrated capability to proactively identify and resolve project issues and risks.
- Experience delivering public sector projects in compliance with GDS standards.
- Excellent relationship-building skills with stakeholders at all levels.
- Flexibility to adapt into product management roles as needed.
