Overview
We are seeking a Senior QA Specialist to provide expertise on an exciting project within our financial consulting firm, which specializes in innovative technology solutions for capital and digital markets. The contractor will work closely with our QA team and developers to enhance testing strategies, promote best practices in quality assurance, and ensure that all aspects of testing contribute to delivering high-quality software solutions. This role emphasizes collaboration and proactive communication with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Propose, create, and enhance the project's test strategy, focusing on test automation.
- Challenge existing practices while promoting QA best practices.
- Educate the team on quality responsibilities, emphasizing value-add testing tasks.
- Design, maintain, and execute test cases, alongside critical analysis of results.
- Build an understanding of business, technical, and operational requirements.
- Contribute to defining the quality assurance process within the team.
- Collaborate with other QAs and the Development team to enhance automated tests.
- Work with Development and DevOps teams to improve testing tools and automation solutions.
Requirements
- Significant experience in a QA role with a strong focus on automation.
- Ability to derive test cases from functional and technical designs.
- Experience with test-driven development (TDD), behavior-driven development (BDD), and test automation tools such as Cypress, Playwright, or WebdriverIO.
- Familiarity with Agile Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and the QA role within it.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with an ability to engage with various stakeholders.
- Experience using AI tools to enhance QA processes and quality.
- A proactive approach to quality assurance, with an emphasis on continuous improvement.
