Overview
The role of DevOps Engineer (Azure) requires an individual to automate and manage infrastructure as code in Azure and Snowflake for a leading financial services firm. The contractor will collaborate with the Technology team to ensure the efficient deployment of full-stack applications, while also maintaining the stability and security of the development environment. The position is initially offered as a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension.
Responsibilities
- Automate and manage Azure and Snowflake infrastructure using Terraform and Bicep.
- Improve deployment pipelines within GitHub and Azure DevOps.
- Design and implement Azure network topologies with private connectivity as code.
- Manage Apache Airflow on AKS including deployments and upgrades.
- Support hybrid identity management between on-premises AD and Entra ID.
- Maintain environmental consistency, security documentation, and visibility into costs.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with Terraform and Bicep.
- Experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and managing Apache Airflow is preferred.
- Solid understanding of Azure networking concepts like hub-and-spoke and NSGs.
- Knowledge of on-premises Active Directory and its integration with Entra ID.
- Experience with GitHub and Azure DevOps for CI/CD.
- Familiarity with core Azure services including storage and compute.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
