Overview
The ERP & Hosting Migration Programme Manager will lead the strategic migration of the Sage X3 ERP platform and associated systems to a new third-party managed hosting provider. This role involves directing procurement, supplier selection, and managing multiple stakeholders to ensure the delivery of a secure and reliable hosting environment. The successful candidate will engage with both internal teams and external partners while maintaining rigorous programme governance to align with business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead the hosting provider selection process from initial market engagement through to contract award.
- Establish and maintain overall programme governance and manage integrated project plans.
- Coordinate migration activities for Sage X3 environments and associated business applications.
- Develop and manage testing strategy, ensuring business stakeholders are engaged throughout phases.
- Manage the end-to-end procurement and contract negotiation processes with suppliers.
- Produce regular status reporting for senior leadership and drive decision-making as necessary.
- Coordinate go-live readiness reviews and post-migration support arrangements.
- Oversee transitions into business-as-usual service management ensuring seamless operational support.
Requirements
- Proven track record delivering infrastructure hosting or datacentre migration projects.
- Strong supplier management and third-party governance experience.
- Significant experience in technology procurement and supplier selection processes.
- Experience negotiating managed service contracts and commercial agreements.
- Excellent risk, dependency, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong executive communication and reporting capability.
- Familiarity with ERP migration or transformation programmes, particularly with Sage X3.
- Desirable experience in ITIL-based service management environments.
