Overview
The EUC Build Engineer will work on a significant enterprise project, focusing on VDI activities to support a large financial services client. Collaborating with various teams, the contractor will leverage their expertise in Omnissa Horizon and endpoint management to build, configure, and deploy solutions that align with client needs. This hybrid role will require strong communication skills to engage with stakeholders at various levels and ensure successful implementation across a distributed environment.
Responsibilities
- Build and configure Omnissa Horizon desktop pools and master images.
- Configure App Volumes packages for application delivery.
- Build and configure Igel thin clients, including repurposing existing HP laptops.
- Support pilot deployment waves, ensuring user readiness and issue resolution.
- Execute integration tests, documenting deviations and remediation actions.
- Collaborate with teams to ensure adherence to change control and compliance requirements.
- Engage with senior stakeholders to communicate progress and translate technical details for non-technical audiences.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of EUC engineering experience with hands-on expertise in Omnissa Horizon.
- Working knowledge of Igel installation and configuration.
- Experience in a regulated financial services environment with knowledge of compliance constraints.
- Demonstrated ability to work within a large, globally distributed organization.
- Proficient in Microsoft Intune, Active Directory, and Apple ecosystem management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage with various stakeholders.
