Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Finance Process Transformation Lead for an interim position focusing on the SAP S/4HANA transformation. This role involves leading critical discovery and assessment phases across key finance processes, working closely with senior finance and transformation leadership to define and prioritize the transformation roadmap. The successful candidate will bring significant expertise in Finance Process Transformation specifically related to SAP S/4HANA, ensuring that future processes align with standard practices while challenging existing assumptions and proposals from external consultancies.
Responsibilities
- Lead discovery and diagnostic activities across finance processes, systems, and data.
- Assess current-state processes and define the future-state for Record-to-Report (R2R), Order-to-Cash (O2C), and Procure-to-Pay (P2P).
- Identify opportunities for process standardisation, simplification, and data harmonisation.
- Define a prioritised, value-led Finance Transformation roadmap.
- Challenge recommendations and proposed solutions from external consultancies and System Integrators.
- Ensure future Finance processes align with S/4HANA standard methodologies, minimising unnecessary customisations.
- Develop value frameworks and support business cases linking transformation initiatives to measurable outcomes.
- Engage and influence senior Finance, Transformation, and Executive stakeholders throughout the transformation process.
Requirements
- Significant experience in SAP S/4HANA Finance Transformation.
- Proven track record of leading discovery and diagnostic phases in a major S/4HANA Finance Transformation.
- Strong knowledge of finance processes including R2R, O2C, and P2P.
- Experience in current-state assessments, future-state process design, and process optimisation.
- Demonstrable ability to challenge solutions and design decisions made by technical specialists.
- Experience collaborating and challenging Tier 1 consultancies or major System Integrators.
- Ability to transform discovery insights into a prioritised transformation roadmap and/or business case.
- Credibility in engaging with senior finance and executive stakeholders.
