Overview
The Finance Process Transformation Lead – SAP S/4HANA will spearhead a critical phase in a significant Finance Transformation programme, focusing on Record-to-Report, Order-to-Cash, and Procure-to-Pay processes. Working collaboratively with senior leadership, the contractor will guide the assessment and the development of a roadmap that aligns with SAP S/4HANA capabilities, ensuring effective process standardization and governance. This role requires deep expertise in finance transformations specifically within the SAP S/4HANA environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead discovery and diagnostic activities across finance processes, systems, and data.
- Assess current-state processes and define future-state processes for R2R, O2C, and P2P.
- Identify opportunities for process standardization, simplification, and data harmonization.
- Define a prioritised, value-led Finance Transformation roadmap.
- Challenge recommendations from external consultancies and System Integrators.
- Ensure alignment of future Finance processes with S/4HANA standards.
- Develop value frameworks and support business cases linking initiatives to measurable outcomes.
- Engage and influence senior Finance, Transformation, and Executive stakeholders.
Requirements
- Significant experience in SAP S/4HANA Finance Transformation.
- Proven track record in leading discovery, diagnostic, and roadmap stages of S/4HANA Finance Transformation.
- Deep understanding of Finance Process Transformation beyond general SAP implementation.
- Strong knowledge of end-to-end processes across R2R, O2C, and P2P.
- Expertise in current-state assessment and future-state process design.
- Ability to challenge proposed solutions and customization decisions in S/4HANA.
- Experience working with Tier 1 consultancies and System Integrators.
- Credibility with senior Finance and Executive stakeholders.
