Manufacturing Planner

Overview

The Contract Manufacturing Planner will work within an Advanced Manufacturing business during a critical period of operational transformation. In this onsite role, the planner will focus on production planning, MRP optimization, and process improvement, collaborating closely with various teams including Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supply Chain. This position is ideal for a results-driven professional who can immediately contribute to enhancing production efficiency and material management.

Responsibilities

  • Manage production schedules and material plans.
  • Optimise MRP outputs and planning parameters.
  • Ensure material availability while controlling inventory levels.
  • Support inventory accuracy, stock takes and cycle counting activities.
  • Investigate planning and ERP data discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Procurement and Supply Chain teams.
  • Drive planning, inventory and process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in Manufacturing Planning, Production Planning or Supply Chain Planning.
  • Strong understanding of MRP, production scheduling and inventory management.
  • Experience within engineering, manufacturing, automotive, aerospace or similar environments.
  • ERP experience such as IFS, SAP, Oracle, Dynamics or Epicor.
  • Strong analytical, Excel and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to quickly identify issues and implement practical improvements.
