Overview
The Electrical Commissioning Manager will play a key role in overseeing commissioning and energisation activities for high voltage (HV) infrastructure projects across the UK. Working with a leading engineering contractor, the successful candidate will ensure the smooth operation of commissioning from pre-commissioning stages to handover, while coordinating various teams and stakeholders to achieve project goals. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to major energy infrastructure developments with strong prospects for contract extensions.
Responsibilities
- Manage electrical commissioning activities from pre-commissioning through to energisation and handover.
- Coordinate commissioning engineers, SAPs, and specialist subcontractors.
- Review commissioning procedures and test documentation.
- Liaise with DNOs, National Grid, OEMs, and project stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with safety and operational procedures.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Commissioning Manager on HV electrical infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of substations, switchgear, and transformers.
- Experience managing commissioning programmes and teams.
- Previous involvement in energisation activities.
- SAP experience advantageous.
