Overview
The role of a Full Stack Engineer involves collaborating with technical teams and business stakeholders to develop a business-critical application for a leading Financial Services organization. The contractor will focus on building and optimizing full-stack applications using modern technologies such as .Net, Azure, React, Node.js, and SQL, delivering solutions that meet both technical and business requirements while working in a hybrid environment that requires three days a week in the office.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of an established Corporate Governance platform from prototype through to production.
- Design, develop and maintain scalable full-stack applications using Azure, React, Node.js, and TypeScript.
- Build, optimise and maintain SQL Server and Azure SQL databases, ensuring performance, security, and data integrity.
- Develop responsive front-end applications using React and TypeScript.
- Build and maintain back-end services using Node.js.
- Deploy and support applications hosted within Azure Web Apps.
- Gather requirements and deliver business solutions through collaboration with Corporate Governance teams and key stakeholders.
- Utilise GitHub Copilot and AI-assisted development tools to enhance engineering efficiency.
Requirements
- Proven commercial experience as a Full-Stack Software Engineer, delivering scalable, production-ready applications.
- Strong SQL Server and Azure SQL experience, including database design and performance tuning.
- Extensive development experience with React, Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Experience deploying and managing applications within Microsoft Azure, including Azure Web Apps.
- Familiarity with GitHub Copilot and AI-assisted development tools.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience with modern AI technologies and integrating AI capabilities into business applications.
