Overview
The Functional Consultant will play a pivotal role in the functional delivery of Dynamics 365 Business Central implementations, focusing on gathering requirements, designing business processes, and configuring systems to achieve scalable ERP solutions. This position requires collaboration with various stakeholders, including technical teams and developers, while also supporting user acceptance testing and documentation efforts. The consultant will be responsible for ensuring successful implementation and delivery during the project's lifecycle, including post-implementation support.
Responsibilities
- Lead workshops to gather and define business requirements across finance and operations.
- Translate business needs into functional designs aligned to D365 Business Central capabilities.
- Configure core Business Central modules, including Finance, Purchasing, Sales, and Inventory.
- Support system integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT), including test case creation and defect resolution.
- Collaborate with technical teams, developers, and data migration specialists during the project lifecycle.
- Support deployment, cutover, and post-go-live hypercare activities.
- Provide comprehensive documentation, including functional specifications, process flows, and configuration details.
Requirements
- Strong experience in D365 Business Central functional consulting.
- Proven involvement in end-to-end ERP implementations.
- Good understanding of finance and operational processes such as P2P, O2C, and R2R.
- Experience with configuration and business process mapping.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced delivery environments.
