Overview
The Technical Configuration Manager will play a critical role in ensuring consistent configuration across Microsoft platforms, including D365 and Azure, during a significant digital transformation. Collaborating with various teams and maintaining oversight of configurations across multiple environments, this position focuses on tracking configuration changes, identifying drift, and supporting release readiness efforts. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of Microsoft technologies and foster alignment among technical teams.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate configuration efforts across multiple platforms and environments.
- Maintain configuration baselines and track differences between environments.
- Identify configuration drift, dependencies, and potential conflicts.
- Work closely with platform, environment, and release teams.
- Support release readiness and ensure configuration changes are properly documented.
- Track actions through Azure DevOps, ensuring clear ownership.
- Identify opportunities to automate configuration comparison and visibility.
Requirements
- Experience managing or coordinating configuration, environments, releases, or change across complex technology estates.
- Familiarity with Microsoft technologies, especially Dynamics 365 and Azure.
- Understanding of Azure DevOps and Infrastructure as Code principles.
- Comfortable with ARM/Bicep, pipelines, and automated deployments.
- Ability to understand the impact of changes in interconnected systems.
