Overview
We are seeking an experienced SHEQ Advisor to support a major Data Centre construction project. In this role, the contractor will work closely with project teams and subcontractors, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality. The advisor will be integral in promoting a positive safety culture and maintaining compliance across site operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day SHEQ support and guidance to project teams and subcontractors.
- Monitor site compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards.
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and safety observations.
- Review and support Risk Assessments, Method Statements (RAMS), and permit systems.
- Lead investigations into incidents, near misses, and non-conformances.
- Support client SHEQ requirements and reporting processes.
- Liaise with site management, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure best practices are maintained.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a SHEQ Advisor in construction or civil engineering.
- Knowledge or qualifications in NRSWA / Street Works.
- Strong working knowledge of CDM Regulations.
- Experience overseeing road excavations and utility-related activities.
- Understanding of UK health and safety legislation.
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced project environment.
