Overview
The Interim Senior FP&A Consultant will take on a key role within a high-growth SaaS business, focusing on providing detailed financial insights and analysis to drive strategic decision-making. Reporting to senior finance leadership, the consultant will work closely with the CFO and other stakeholders to enhance financial processes and deliver impactful reporting. This position is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded FP&A professional with substantial experience in Private Equity-backed environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Develop and enhance detailed financial models and scenario analysis.
- Produce insightful monthly management reporting and performance analysis.
- Provide analysis of revenue, ARR, gross margin, OPEX, and cash flow performance.
- Develop and track key SaaS KPIs and operational metrics.
- Support the CFO and senior leadership team with ad hoc commercial analysis.
- Prepare high-quality reporting and analysis for the Private Equity investor.
- Identify performance trends, risks, and opportunities, and translate these into actionable recommendations.
Requirements
- Significant FP&A/commercial finance experience.
- Strong experience within a SaaS or subscription-based business.
- Previous experience working in a Private Equity-backed environment.
- Strong financial modelling and forecasting skills.
- Excellent understanding of SaaS metrics, particularly ARR, MRR, retention, churn, CAC, LTV, and gross margin.
- Experience producing reporting and analysis for senior leadership and/or Private Equity investors.
- Ability to quickly understand complex businesses and turn data into clear commercial insights.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
