Overview
The Platform Engineer will play a vital role in supporting a prominent UK digital consumer brand by ensuring compliance with the CAF 4 framework. This position involves hands-on cloud security remediation and generating compliance documentation, primarily working with AWS and some involvement in GCP. The contractor will collaborate with internal teams and third-party suppliers while providing regular updates to senior stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Assess current security controls to identify necessary remediation for CAF 4 compliance.
- Implement changes in AWS infrastructure and assist with GCP as required.
- Produce audit-ready documentation to support compliance objectives.
- Collaborate with internal teams and third-party suppliers for shared security responsibilities validation.
- Provide weekly updates on progress, risks, and delivery status to senior stakeholders.
- Focus on supply chain risk, access control, logging, and incident recovery.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience in securing AWS environments; familiarity with GCP is beneficial.
- Experience with cyber security and compliance frameworks such as CAF, NIS, or ISO 27001.
- Solid understanding of IAM, MFA, logging, monitoring, backup, and network segmentation.
- Proven ability to create technical and compliance documentation for senior stakeholders.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that demands immediate results.
- Strong communication skills for stakeholder interaction.
