Overview
We are seeking a skilled Data Migration Engineer to support a critical digital transformation project within the UK public sector. This role involves working closely with a collaborative technical team to ensure the secure extraction, transformation, and migration of data onto a modern cloud platform. The ideal candidate will have active security clearance and experience with cloud technologies, focusing on delivering high-quality data migration solutions.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver end-to-end data migration activities.
- Design and develop ETL processes and migration solutions.
- Perform data mapping, transformation, validation, and reconciliation.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and security throughout the migration lifecycle.
- Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to support testing and deployment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data migration issues.
Requirements
- Proven experience in data migration and ETL processes.
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Familiarity with AWS cloud technologies.
- Experience with data mapping, validation, and reconciliation.
- Knowledge of relational databases and large-scale datasets.
- Strong analytical and stakeholder communication skills.
- Experience in healthcare or regulated environments is a plus, but not required.
