Overview
We are looking for a skilled Data Tester with experience in banking and investment management to validate solutions on the Microsoft Fabric platform. Collaborating with Data Engineers and Architects, the contractor will focus on functional and data validation, progressively introducing automation into the testing process while ensuring the integrity and quality of data movement.
Responsibilities
- Test end-to-end data pipelines and validate transformations and business rules.
- Verify data quality and integrity while performing reconciliations.
- Execute regression, integration, and functional testing.
- Resolve defects in collaboration with Data Engineers and support gradual test automation.
- Participate in Agile delivery methodologies.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Data/ETL Tester within a banking or investment management context.
- Strong proficiency in SQL for data validation and source-to-target reconciliation.
- Experience with functional and data validation testing.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, and related technologies such as Python, PySpark, and Apache Spark is essential.
- Desirable skills include test automation experience and familiarity with data quality frameworks and reporting/analytics testing.
