Overview
We are seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead a complex, multi-party SAP BW and BusinessObjects cloud migration project for a global consultancy's Software Solutions division. The role requires effective coordination among multiple stakeholders, including clients, systems integrators, and third-party vendors, ensuring that the project remains on track and aligned with each party's objectives. The successful candidate will navigate stakeholder dynamics with a calm and solution-oriented approach to deliver on ambitious transformation goals, starting as soon as possible until March 2027.
Responsibilities
- Own the project plan, risk log, and issues log for the migration, ensuring all parties adhere to the timeline.
- Chair and drive steering group and working group sessions to facilitate decision-making.
- Coordinate across the client, systems integrator, SAP, and hosting vendor to manage dependencies, blockers, and timelines.
- Act as the single point of accountability for project delivery, reporting to the client's leadership team.
- Escalate issues early when projects deviate from the plan to prevent delays.
- Maintain constructive dialogue among stakeholders to manage disagreements effectively.
- Ensure availability aligns with European, Asian, and Australian working hours.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a project manager leading multi-party technical programmes.
- Track record in delivering enterprise-wide digital transformation projects.
- Strong understanding of SAP environments, particularly SAP BW and/or BusinessObjects.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, able to engage senior personnel across different organisations.
- Ability to assertively enforce deadlines while maintaining collaborative relationships.
- Calm, steady, and solution-oriented problem-solving approach.
- Availability to work across multiple time zones in Europe, Asia, and Australia.
