Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior GCP Cloud Engineer to play a critical role in a greenfield project, contributing to the development of secure cloud platforms within a regulated environment. This hands-on position entails owning the cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes platforms, while collaborating with a dynamic team focused on building scalable solutions. The role is fully remote, with occasional travel within the UK required.
Responsibilities
- Design and operate production-grade infrastructure on Google Cloud.
- Build and manage Kubernetes (GKE) environments.
- Develop Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Own CI/CD pipelines and implement deployment automation.
- Implement monitoring, observability, and platform security.
- Support distributed, high-assurance cloud environments.
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience with GCP, particularly GKE.
- Proven experience building and operating production Kubernetes platforms.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, ideally using Terraform.
- CI/CD and automation experience.
- Strong Linux and cloud networking knowledge.
- Experience in secure or regulated environments is desirable.
- Active SC Clearance preferred.
