Platform Engineer

Overview

The Platform Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting a major cloud and data transformation program within the Financial Services sector. This contract position focuses on migrating a large-scale data platform to a modern Azure and Databricks environment, working closely with engineering and delivery teams to build, automate, and maintain a robust cloud infrastructure. The role offers an opportunity to contribute to enhancing platform reliability, security, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure and Databricks environments.
  • Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
  • Drive platform reliability, security, and operational excellence.
  • Support delivery squads during sprint planning and technical delivery.
  • Contribute to overall cloud transformation, including landing zone improvements and infrastructure refactoring.

Requirements

  • Proven experience with Azure, Terraform, Databricks, Azure DevOps, GitHub, and CI/CD.
  • Experience in cloud migrations and modern data platforms.
  • Familiarity with Python, Ansible, Jenkins, VMware, Windows Server, Linux, and SQL Server is a plus.
  • Strong collaborative skills to work with engineering teams and support successful delivery.
