Overview
We are seeking an experienced IBM DataStage Engineer to join a major data transformation program aimed at migrating and modernizing enterprise data platforms. The role involves the development, support, and maintenance of ETL solutions while working closely with a complex data landscape to ensure the successful migration of data from a large-scale warehouse environment. This hands-on position will require collaboration with various teams and a strong focus on data integration and SQL skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop ETL solutions using IBM DataStage.
- Support and maintain existing ETL processes.
- Collaborate on data extraction, transformation, and migration activities.
- Work within a team to ensure successful data migration from a large-scale data warehouse.
- Utilize Azure Data Factory for data integration tasks.
- Implement best practices for ETL development and data management.
- Contribute to troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to data migration.
Requirements
- Proven experience with IBM DataStage ETL development and maintenance.
- Strong SQL development skills and data manipulation.
- Experience in large-scale data migration projects.
- Familiarity with Azure Data Factory is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Netezza for data warehousing is preferred.
- Exposure to Cognos reporting tools is beneficial.
- Ability to work collaboratively within diverse teams.
