Overview
We are seeking a talented 3rd / 4th Line Infrastructure Engineer to join a dynamic and cohesive team in Central Manchester. This hands-on role, primarily focused on supporting and maintaining complex infrastructure systems, offers a unique opportunity to impact a newly formed team while working collaboratively with skilled engineers. Successful candidates will engage in resolving intricate technical issues and contribute to the ongoing development of a cloud-first infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Provide support across 3rd and 4th line infrastructure and networking activities.
- Resolve complex operational issues, including Azure troubleshooting and print server queue management.
- Support and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure, particularly Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
- Ensure mission-critical systems are stable, secure, and performant.
- Work with Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and virtualised environments.
- Contribute to infrastructure improvements and technical projects.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality internal IT services.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years' hands-on experience in cloud and infrastructure support.
- Strong expertise in Azure Cloud, Azure Active Directory, and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
- Proficient in Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365.
- Experience with firewall technologies, particularly SD-WAN, Meraki, and Palo Alto.
- Familiarity with enterprise-scale networking environments and virtualization platforms.
- Ability to provide specific examples of Azure experience.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and independent problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset.
