Overview
We are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer with a strong focus on AWS to join a high-performing engineering team on an initial 6-month contract. In this hands-on role, you will design, build, and enhance cloud platforms, ensuring scalability and best practices to empower engineering teams. You will collaborate closely with other engineers and stakeholders to tackle complex infrastructure challenges while working in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement cloud platforms that are scalable and efficient.
- Automate infrastructure deployment using Python scripting and Infrastructure as Code tools.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to establish best practices in deployment automation and CI/CD pipelines.
- Resolve complex infrastructure challenges with innovative solutions.
- Maintain and enhance cloud security, networking, and monitoring practices.
- Drive initiatives for continuous improvement in platform engineering and automation efforts.
Requirements
- Significant experience with AWS cloud services.
- Proficient in Python scripting for automation and tooling purposes.
- Background in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Cloud Infrastructure.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation techniques.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of cloud security, networking, and monitoring best practices.
