Overview
We are seeking an experienced Identity & Microsoft 365 Architect to lead a significant transformation program focused on identity management and Microsoft 365 deployment. The contractor will work with technical teams to design and execute infrastructure changes involving Microsoft Entra ID, hybrid identity solutions, security automation, and migration efforts. This role demands both architectural expertise and hands-on technical skills to effectively navigate complex environments and deliver successful outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Lead the architectural design and implementation of Microsoft Entra ID and hybrid identity solutions.
- Manage the migration of on-premises identity components to third-party tenants.
- Facilitate security and compliance measures within Microsoft 365 environments.
- Develop automation strategies using PowerShell and Microsoft Graph APIs.
- Troubleshoot authentication issues, including SSO and Conditional Access setups.
- Administer Exchange Online and SharePoint Online configurations.
- Implement governance strategies for identity and access management.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure successful architectural delivery.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Identity & Microsoft 365 Architect.
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Entra ID, AD DS, and hybrid identity.
- Familiarity with security models including Conditional Access and MFA.
- Ability to use PowerShell and Microsoft Graph for automation tasks.
- Experience with Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint Online.
- Understanding of migration processes between Microsoft tenants.
- Knowledge of security frameworks such as ISO 27001 or Cyber Essentials Plus is a plus.
- Capable of troubleshooting complex authentication scenarios.
