Overview
We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Architect to join an agile team on a contract basis, primarily working with a leading Defence and National Security IT provider. This role involves direct collaboration with senior customer stakeholders to design secure, large-scale infrastructure solutions while ensuring compliance with security standards. The successful candidate will take ownership of technical proposals and manage delivery, working closely with both internal teams and third parties throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Own the delivery of technical proposals, aligning them with the client's vision.
- Collaborate directly with customers to define and elaborate on infrastructure requirements.
- Design infrastructure solutions that comply with security standards.
- Lead production implementations through to successful project completion and service transition.
- Manage third parties and requests for change while maintaining architectural integrity.
- Interact with multiple internal teams and senior stakeholders to foster collaboration across the delivery lifecycle.
- Participate as part of a multi-skilled agile team, sharing challenges and cross-training opportunities.
Requirements
- Valid UK Sole National Security Clearance with active DV Clearance.
- Proven experience in client-facing roles, effectively communicating with senior executives.
- Extensive knowledge in the design and implementation of secure, resilient, large-scale infrastructure systems.
- Experience defining infrastructure requirements directly with customers.
- Proficiency in deploying production implementations and overseeing service transitions.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows systems administration in enterprise environments, including GPO, PowerShell, and Windows Installer.
- Prior experience in Agile methodologies is desirable.
- Relevant architecture certification such as TOGAF is a plus.
