Overview
In this Senior Project Manager role, the contractor will lead complex technology-transformation initiatives within a large, highly regulated organization. They will take ownership of major programmes, managing multiple stakeholders and delivery teams to drive successful outcomes. The focus will be on ensuring governance, managing budgets, and stabilizing any challenging programmes to align with organizational goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead complex technology and business-change programmes from initiation through to implementation.
- Manage multiple technical, operational, and supplier-led workstreams.
- Establish clear programme governance, plans, controls, and reporting.
- Manage programme budgets, forecasts, risks, dependencies, and delivery milestones.
- Build effective relationships with senior business and technology stakeholders.
- Coordinate internal teams and third-party delivery partners.
- Identify and resolve delivery issues before they affect key outcomes.
- Stabilise challenging programmes and provide clear direction where required.
Requirements
- Extensive experience delivering large and complex technology programmes.
- Strong background within financial services or another regulated environment.
- Experience leading sizeable multidisciplinary delivery teams.
- Delivery across application, infrastructure, data, or digital-transformation workstreams.
- Strong programme governance, financial management, and forecasting experience.
- Proven management of third-party suppliers and delivery partners.
- Experience managing senior customer and executive stakeholders.
- Strong risk, dependency, and programme-control capabilities.
