Overview
As a Backend Python Engineer, you will play a key role in developing robust backend solutions in a cloud-native environment, primarily using FastAPI and microservices architectures. Working closely within Agile product teams, you will take ownership of technical solutions, contribute to architectural decisions, and provide mentorship to junior engineers. Exposure to AI/GenAI products will enhance your contributions to innovative projects.
Responsibilities
- Develop backend services using FastAPI and microservices architecture.
- Collaborate with product teams to define technical solutions and system architecture.
- Mentor junior team members and promote best engineering practices.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
- Design and optimize database structures with PostgreSQL.
- Ensure code quality through testing with Pytest and proper documentation.
- Contribute to the development of cloud-native applications and services.
- Stay updated with modern backend engineering practices and technologies.
Requirements
- Proven experience in Python development with frameworks like FastAPI, Pydantic, and SQLAlchemy.
- Strong expertise with PostgreSQL and containerization tools like Docker.
- Experience using Git and GitHub Actions for version control and CI/CD.
- Familiarity with modern data manipulation libraries such as Pandas and NumPy.
- Basic knowledge of cloud-native development and experience with AWS is highly desirable.
- Exposure to AI technologies and frameworks for machine learning.
- Understanding of security protocols such as OAuth and JWT.
- Desire to work in a fast-paced, Agile environment with strong communication skills.
