Overview
We are looking for a Lead Python Engineer to support a dynamic, data-focused programme on a 3-month contract basis that offers hybrid working arrangements. The successful candidate will enhance the safe use of production data within development environments, focusing on data anonymisation, obfuscation, and sanitisation. This role will involve close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure data security and compliance while fostering innovative development processes.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of data anonymisation, obfuscation, and sanitisation tools and processes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data governance requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Design scalable, secure, and maintainable Python-based applications aligned with project objectives.
- Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
- Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
- Conduct code reviews, testing, and documentation to uphold high-quality standards.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies related to data security and Python development.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Python Engineer, with a strong background in developing scalable and secure applications.
- Active SC clearance is mandatory, with the ability to obtain or maintain security clearance if necessary.
- Extensive knowledge of data anonymisation, obfuscation, and sanitisation techniques.
- Experience leading technical teams or projects, demonstrating strong leadership and mentorship skills.
- Solid understanding of software development best practices, version control, and agile methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Strong communication skills, capable of translating complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
