Overview
The IT Delivery Lead for Infrastructure & HR Systems will oversee multiple technology projects within a large international organization, focusing on both IT infrastructure and HR/payroll technology. This hands-on role requires working closely with technical, functional, business, and third-party teams to ensure successful project delivery from planning through to transition. The individual will manage governance, stakeholder communication, and financial tracking to meet project goals within budget and time constraints.
Responsibilities
- Manage several concurrent IT projects through the full delivery lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, milestones, dependencies, and risks.
- Coordinate technical, functional, business, and third-party/vendor teams.
- Manage infrastructure-related delivery alongside HR/payroll system migrations and integrations.
- Lead SIT/UAT planning and execution, including defect management and acceptance.
- Develop and manage cutover, go/no-go, hypercare, and BAU transition plans.
- Oversee governance, change control, and senior stakeholder reporting.
- Ensure project budgets and vendor costs are effectively controlled.
Requirements
- 10+ years' IT project management/delivery experience.
- Strong experience delivering IT infrastructure projects.
- Experience with HR, payroll, or enterprise system migrations.
- Knowledge of legacy system migration and/or decommissioning.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects/workstreams concurrently.
- Experience with projects having budgets exceeding £1m.
- Strong governance, financial, and vendor management skills.
- Recognised Project Management and/or Agile certification.
