Overview
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Consultant for a 12-month contract role with hybrid working arrangements. In this position, you will collaborate closely with development teams to design and build CI/CD pipelines, as well as automate infrastructure and configuration management across Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Amazon Web Services (AWS). The focus will be on providing autonomy in shaping delivery practices and tooling for a reliable and efficient software delivery lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline code delivery from commit to production.
- Build Terraform modules and Ansible playbooks for infrastructure automation.
- Champion GitOps practices and implement containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Architect scalable and secure cloud solutions that align with business needs.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate automation and reliability into the software lifecycle.
- Implement monitoring and observability tools to enhance system health feedback.
- Drive cost optimization and establish governance practices for cloud resources.
- Lead incident response efforts, using insights to improve automation and tooling.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in DevOps or cloud infrastructure engineering.
- Strong expertise with GCP (Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Storage) and AWS (EC2, EKS, S3).
- Advanced skills in Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.
- Extensive experience with Ansible for configuration management.
- Proficiency in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong scripting capabilities in Bash and Python.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production.
- Solid understanding of Linux/Unix administration and networking fundamentals.
