Overview
The role of a Service Architect focuses on owning and leading the service design for complex and high-value projects within a live system transition program, primarily for a defence and national security IT provider. The contractor will work in a highly secure environment, collaborating with a multi-skilled agile team to continuously evolve service offerings based on user requirements while ensuring compliance with established governance models. This position is intended for individuals with active DV Clearance who aspire to enhance their skills in service design and programme delivery.
Responsibilities
- Own and be accountable for service design on complex or high value deliveries into live service.
- Take responsibility for the delivery of new and ongoing change to work packages in response to evolving user requirements.
- Oversee the delivery of work packages from design through prototyping, ensuring all requirements are met.
- Develop detailed end-to-end service designs.
- Conduct impact assessments of current operating and governance models against the scope of work.
- Design future operating and governance models.
- Identify and develop test requirements to integrate into the overall test plan.
- Provide excellent customer-focused service to end users.
Requirements
- Active UK Sole National DV Clearance.
- Experience working in high security environments.
- Accountability and ownership of service design for complex or high value live service deliveries.
- Detailed knowledge of service management concepts and techniques.
- Significant experience in service operating model design for major IT systems.
- Ability to develop detailed end-to-end service designs and impact assessments.
- Strong technical documentation skills, with the ability to write coherent and concise service documents.
- Experience working under tight deadlines within a dynamic team environment.
