Overview
The Interim BI and Data Manager will play a pivotal role in leading the organization's BI and data solutions as part of the senior leadership team. This position involves overseeing a team of approximately 10 individuals, managing the BI report development pipeline, and driving the implementation of new data platforms including the Fabric Data Platform. The manager will also support the development of AI and machine learning initiatives while collaborating with various internal groups.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the BI report development pipeline and data engineering.
- Lead the implementation of the Fabric Data Platform and migration of the Oracle legacy data warehouse.
- Guide technical teams in the development of AI and machine learning solutions.
- Support the digital solutions and delivery restructure initiatives.
- Lead various internal working groups related to data solutions.
- Manage and mentor a team of approximately 10 BI and data professionals.
- Ensure the alignment of data strategies with organizational objectives.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a BI and data management role within a busy IT department.
- Strong knowledge of business intelligence, analytics, and data integration.
- Experience with AI and machine learning applications in a business context.
- Background in working within the Higher Education sector is preferred.
- Technical leadership experience with oversight of data solutions teams.
