Overview
The Interim FP&A Consultant will work with a rapidly growing technology company to redesign and enhance the finance reporting suite following a systems change. Reporting to the Group Finance Director, the consultant will collaborate closely with the FP&A team to establish consistent reporting standards, build automated reports, and ensure the integrity of financial data across multiple regions and entities. This six-month interim position offers the potential for extension and requires immediate availability.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design of the group's reporting suite covering actuals, budgets, forecasts, and ad hoc requirements.
- Define reporting requirements with central and regional finance teams to establish a single reporting standard across the group.
- Build automated reporting within the new environment to minimize manual preparation and enhance turnaround time.
- Rebuild existing spreadsheet reporting, including the consolidation logic, within the new systems.
- Ensure that consolidation outputs and management reporting reconcile at every level.
- Conduct thorough testing of both old and new reporting systems to confirm accuracy before sign-off.
- Document changes, reporting logic, and data definitions for future reference.
- Support issue resolution and continuous improvement once reporting is live.
Requirements
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified.
- Experience designing a group reporting suite from scratch.
- Strong knowledge of consolidation, intercompany transactions, and the overall planning cycle.
- Advanced Excel skills, with comfort in handling large data sets and model rebuilding.
- Experience leading change management programs related to ERP or systems upgrades.
- Familiarity with Power BI is desirable.
- Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite or D365 is a plus.
- Experience in a multi-entity or international group environment.
