Overview
We are looking for a skilled IT Business Analyst to support a global retail organization's enterprise-wide Master Data Management (MDM) initiatives. The contractor will primarily work on improving data quality and governance across multiple domains, collaborating with stakeholders and facilitating workshops. This role is remote with potential for occasional travel and is outside of IR35 regulations, making it a favorable opportunity for independent contractors.
Responsibilities
- Gather, document, and analyze business and data requirements across various business functions.
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops and interviews with regional and global teams.
- Conduct current and future-state process mapping.
- Collaborate with business teams to understand data structures and governance requirements.
- Support the development of the organization's Master Data Strategy and program.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and enhanced data quality.
- Assist in data governance and master data management activities across multiple domains.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst in complex business and IT environments.
- Knowledge of data management, data governance, or Master Data Management (MDM).
- Strong skills in process mapping and business process analysis.
- Experience in gathering and documenting business and data requirements.
- Proficiency in conducting workshops and managing diverse stakeholder groups.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Experience supporting MDM or data transformation programs is highly desirable.
