Overview
We are seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to lead strategic programmes in Water and Wastewater operations, focusing on the shaping, discovery, and design phases. This role involves close collaboration with business leaders, technology teams, and external partners to transform strategic objectives into actionable work programmes. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of project management expertise, technical knowledge across relevant domains, and exceptional stakeholder engagement skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead the shaping, discovery, and design phases of complex IT-enabled programmes.
- Translate business requirements into clearly defined programme scopes, outcomes, and deliverables.
- Facilitate discovery workshops to establish requirements, priorities, and potential solutions.
- Develop robust business cases and investment proposals.
- Build strong relationships and act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders.
- Identify and manage strategic risks and issues to ensure alignment with technology strategy.
- Mobilise and lead high-performing multidisciplinary teams.
- Provide clear reporting to senior leadership and programme boards.
Requirements
- Significant experience as a Senior IT Project Manager or Programme Manager.
- Proven experience in programme shaping, discovery, scoping, and mobilisation.
- Strong track record of developing business cases and investment proposals.
- Exceptional senior stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Experience building and leading multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong understanding of Operational Technology (OT), Data, Integration, and Applications.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
- Relevant project/programme management qualification such as PRINCE2, MSP, APM or equivalent.
