Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of innovative AI, Generative AI, and intelligent automation initiatives within a regulated banking environment. In this role, you will work across various functions including Product, Data, Engineering, and Compliance, ensuring these AI solutions move from concept through to successful deployment. This position is a contract role, requiring hands-on experience with AI projects and effective stakeholder management.
Responsibilities
- Lead AI and automation projects from initial business case and planning to post-launch review.
- Manage project plans, budgets, resources, milestones, risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across AI/Data, Engineering, Product, and third-party suppliers.
- Provide clear reporting to senior stakeholders through governance forums.
- Ensure AI solutions meet regulatory, security, and privacy requirements.
- Support operational readiness and transition into business as usual (BAU).
- Drive user adoption and benefits realization of AI solutions.
- Manage relationships with external technology partners and suppliers.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Technology Project Manager, preferably in banking or regulated financial services.
- Demonstrated success in delivering AI, Machine Learning, or advanced analytics initiatives.
- Strong end-to-end technology project delivery background.
- Familiarity with technology governance and risk management protocols.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and vendor relationships.
- Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Experience with cloud-hosted technology solutions.
