Overview
We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Dynamics Consultant to support a major Finance transformation program through the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management (FSCM). The consultant will work closely with the finance team as a key subject matter expert, facilitating communication between finance, IT, and the implementation partner, ensuring a smooth transition while maintaining data integrity.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary finance subject matter expert for the D365 FSCM implementation, representing Finance in all system design and configuration decisions.
- Ensure financial data integrity throughout the transformation including data migration, cleansing, and validation.
- Own and maintain AP, AR, and GL processes during the transition, ensuring continuity of financial operations.
- Work closely with the programme team, IT, and the implementation partner to align system requirements with financial reporting needs.
- Identify and resolve process gaps, supporting the design of improved end-to-end finance workflows.
- Produce financial reports and management information to support the business during the transformation period.
- Lead or support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and provide training to finance staff on new D365 FSCM processes.
- Support cutover planning, go-live, and post-implementation stabilization.
Requirements
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified — essential.
- Hands-on experience of Microsoft Dynamics 365 FSCM, specifically the finance modules (GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Financial Reporting).
- Proven experience working client-side on a D365 FSCM implementation.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end finance processes including P2P, O2C, and R2R.
- Experience of data migration, cleansing, and validation within an ERP context.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced transformation environment.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, engaging comfortably with Finance leadership, IT, and implementation partners.
