Overview
We are seeking a Senior Full-Stack Java Developer with extensive experience in banking and financial services. In this 6-month contract role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications that support various financial products. The position requires a strong technical background and the ability to work on-site in London, five days a week.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop full-stack applications for banking and trade management.
- Maintain and optimize existing applications supporting financial products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and provide solutions.
- Implement containerized deployments using Kubernetes and AWS ECS.
- Perform automated testing and ensure observability/monitoring of applications.
- Independently own the design, development, and delivery of application modules.
- Utilize PostgreSQL and/or Cloud SQL databases for application data management.
- Apply test-driven development principles throughout the software life cycle.
Requirements
- 15+ years of commercial software engineering or full-stack development experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in banking or financial services.
- Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot frameworks.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies including HTML5, Angular, React, and NPM.
- Experience with PostgreSQL and/or Cloud SQL databases.
- Solid understanding of containerized deployments with Kubernetes and AWS ECS.
- Knowledge of test-driven development and automated testing practices.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana and Splunk.
