Overview
We are seeking an experienced Java Developer Team Lead to join a dynamic team within a public sector organization. This role offers the opportunity to provide hands-on leadership to an agile development team responsible for enhancing critical financial applications and automation pipelines. The successful candidate will act as a vital link between the development team and Architecture Steering Group, driving best practices and architectural standards in a collaborative and flexible remote working environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on technical leadership to an agile development team, guiding best practices and adherence to architectural standards.
- Lead the development and support of solutions that enhance the application pipeline, improving automation rates for various processes.
- Enhance tooling to support processing of automated flows and ongoing development of related UI and services.
- Design and develop a Self Guided Web App to facilitate modifications and submissions related to deed types.
- Improve the resilience and reliability of automation pipelines to ensure continuous operation and efficiency.
- Support the transition from on-premises databases to cloud-managed solutions while maintaining current technology standards.
- Assist in managing, maintaining, and improving existing services to ensure efficiency and relevancy.
- Act as a conduit between the development team and Architecture Steering Group, refining architectural principles and best practices.
Requirements
- Strong background in Java development with experience in Java 11 or higher.
- Proven experience with Spring Boot microservices and Spring Security.
- Solid understanding of cloud-based solutions and automation pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with database migrations, particularly from on-premises to cloud-managed solutions.
- Strong leadership capabilities and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within an agile environment.
- Relevant certifications in software development or architecture are advantageous.
