Overview
We are seeking an experienced Java Tech Lead to join a dedicated engineering team on a fully remote contract basis. In this hands-on technical leadership role, the contractor will guide engineering teams while managing key projects, working closely with product and technical stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions. The role combines strong software engineering skills with the ability to influence and drive technical decisions.
Responsibilities
- Take technical ownership across key projects and ensure successful delivery.
- Lead development teams while remaining actively involved in coding and architecture.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and technical stakeholders to make informed decisions.
- Guide engineers in applying software architecture, design patterns, and engineering best practices.
- Contribute hands-on to code development as necessary.
- Manage technical risks and ensure project milestones are met.
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience with Core Java.
- Extensive experience with Spring Boot.
- Strong AWS cloud experience.
- Proven experience as a Tech Lead, Lead Engineer, or in a similar position.
- Experience leading engineering teams and delivering complex projects.
- Solid understanding of software architecture and engineering best practices.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience within iGaming, gambling, or regulated financial services is essential.
