Overview
We are seeking a Lead QA Automation Engineer with a strong hands-on approach to lead testing for an integration project. The contractor will work closely with suppliers, stakeholders, and a team of contractors to define the testing strategy and ensure quality across multiple interconnected systems. The position requires a balance of technical skill in test automation and effective communication to manage relationships and challenges throughout the project.
Responsibilities
- Define and deliver the test strategy, plans, and quality standards for the project.
- Set up, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks, integrating them into CI/CD pipelines.
- Lead integration, API, functional, and regression testing, and support UAT and performance testing.
- Review test cases, automation scripts, and supplier testing evidence for coverage and quality.
- Own defect management by prioritizing issues based on business risk and driving resolutions.
- Coordinate test environments and test data, supporting release readiness decisions.
- Communicate progress, risks, and quality issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Coach colleagues and enhance testing practices across the project.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a hands-on QA Automation Lead or Test Lead role.
- Strong background in setting up test frameworks and executing automated tests.
- Experience in testing complex integrations, APIs, and data flows in enterprise systems.
- Familiarity with tools such as C#, Postman, REST API testing, Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or BDD frameworks.
- Deep understanding of manual and automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
- Experience managing delivery quality across multiple third-party suppliers.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to challenge stakeholders effectively.
- Experience working in Agile environments like Scrum or Kanban.
