Overview
We are seeking a Learning Designer for a fully remote contract position, focusing on transforming subject matter expert (SME) content into engaging and accessible digital learning modules. The contractor will engage closely with SMEs and internal stakeholders to create effective eLearning content, ensuring high standards and logical structures throughout the development process. This role requires a hands-on approach to instructional design, storyboarding, and eLearning development, aimed at producing meaningful educational experiences.
Responsibilities
- Transform SME-authored content into engaging, accessible digital learning modules.
- Design and develop eLearning content using Articulate Rise 360.
- Create storyboards, content documents, and structured learning activities.
- Apply learning design principles to ensure content is logical, engaging, and suitable for the audience.
- Collaborate with SMEs and internal stakeholders to review and refine learning materials.
- Conduct quality assurance checks for consistency, accuracy, and high delivery standards.
- Manage workload independently to meet agreed deadlines.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in Learning Design, Instructional Design, or Digital Learning Design.
- Hands-on experience with developing eLearning modules in Articulate Rise 360.
- Background in education or related environments such as higher education or professional qualifications.
- Ability to convert complex SME content into effective digital learning resources.
- Strong skills in storyboarding, content structuring, and instructional design.
- Understanding of pedagogy, learning objectives, and learner engagement.
- Excellent attention to detail, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Possession of an active Articulate 360 US license for use throughout the assignment.
