Overview
We are seeking a Linux Endpoint Security Engineer with expertise in managing Linux desktop and end-user endpoint environments, specifically utilizing Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint. The successful candidate will work closely with a Higher Education client to ensure the security and compliance of Linux systems in an enterprise environment, demonstrating practical experience in integrating these technologies effectively.
Responsibilities
- Support Linux desktop and end-user endpoint environments in production settings.
- Manage and configure Linux devices using Microsoft Intune.
- Deploy and configure Microsoft Defender for Endpoint on Linux systems.
- Integrate Linux, Intune, and Defender to create secure endpoint management solutions.
- Onboard and manage Linux devices within an enterprise context.
- Utilize Microsoft Security and Endpoint Management tools to enhance security posture.
- Address compliance and vulnerability management issues related to endpoint security.
- Work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, visiting the office on-site once a week as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience in supporting Linux desktop and end-user endpoint environments.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune for managing Linux devices.
- Strong background in deploying Microsoft Defender for Endpoint on Linux.
- Familiarity with compliance and vulnerability management for endpoint security.
- Experience with Ubuntu and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
- Knowledge of Microsoft Endpoint Management and synthetic device objects.
- Understanding of broader Microsoft Security and Endpoint Management technologies.
- Experience with Vulnerability Management tools in enterprise settings.
