Overview
The Embedded Software Contractor will join a collaborative team focused on developing embedded Linux firmware for target hardware platforms. This role involves working on exciting R&D projects, including device driver development and firmware integration, within a dynamic and innovative environment leading up to a project deadline in July 2027.
Responsibilities
- Develop embedded Linux firmware for OMAP and iMX6 hardware platforms.
- Implement software for platform bring-up and peripheral integration, including UART, SPI, and I2C.
- Integrate firmware into the broader system, ensuring compatibility with existing software components.
- Investigate and resolve technical issues related to firmware and hardware/software interactions.
- Produce supporting artifacts, including design documentation, test specifications, and release notes.
Requirements
- Proven experience in embedded software development with Linux.
- Strong knowledge of device driver development and kernel configuration.
- Experience with hardware platforms like OMAP and iMX6.
- Familiarity with interfacing peripherals (UART, SPI, I2C, PCIe).
- Ability to produce technical documentation and reports.
- Candidates must be eligible for a BPSS check.
