Overview
The Senior BI Developer will contribute to a prominent finance transformation initiative by modernizing the business intelligence and reporting capabilities of the organization. This role focuses on migrating finance reporting from legacy systems to Microsoft Fabric, collaborating closely with Business Analysts to create impactful Power BI reports and dashboards. As part of an agile team, the successful candidate will enhance data warehousing solutions and optimize end-to-end BI processes, ensuring scalability and efficiency in finance reporting.
Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance data warehouse solutions, including data models and Power BI semantic models within Microsoft Fabric.
- Build and maintain ETL pipelines for reliable data integration.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts to design and deliver Power BI reports and dashboards for finance stakeholders.
- Optimize BI solutions within Microsoft Fabric, improving performance and scalability.
- Implement automated testing processes to enhance solution quality.
- Maintain technical specifications and documentation using Azure DevOps.
- Ensure effective communication and problem-solving with stakeholders in an agile environment.
Requirements
- Strong experience in developing business intelligence solutions, including data integration and data warehousing.
- Proven capability with Microsoft Fabric and Power BI semantic model development.
- Expertise in SSAS cube design and optimization.
- Extensive ETL development using SQL and SSIS.
- Proficiency in SSDT, Visual Studio, and Azure DevOps.
- Experience with BI continuous integration and release processes.
- Ability to create visually engaging Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Familiarity with finance reporting environments is a plus.
