Overview
We are seeking a Technical Project Manager who will oversee the development and delivery of innovative IoT products, integrating facets of electronics, embedded firmware, wireless communication, and cloud technology. The contractor will collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and external suppliers, managing the lifecycle of projects from initial architecture and prototyping stages through to validation, certification, and production, for a duration of 15 months.
Responsibilities
- Own project delivery across electronics, embedded firmware and IoT connectivity.
- Develop and manage technical project plans, milestones, dependencies and critical paths.
- Manage technical risks, issues, changes and project dependencies.
- Track development against scope, schedule, cost and technical requirements.
- Coordinate PCB design, prototype builds, hardware bring-up and engineering validation.
- Manage integration between devices, gateways, cloud platforms and applications.
- Support transition from prototype to NPI and volume production.
- Provide concise technical status, risk and delivery reporting to senior management.
Requirements
- 3+ years experience in electronics / embedded systems product development.
- Experience managing small multidisciplinary engineering projects.
- Knowledge of hardware and firmware development lifecycles.
- Familiarity with IoT architectures and connected devices.
- Experience in product verification, validation and certification.
- Skills in supplier and manufacturing management.
- Proficient in project planning, risk and change management.
- Desirable experience with C/C++, RTOS, STM32/nRF/ESP32, BLE, Wi-Fi, and embedded Linux.
