Overview
We are seeking an experienced LNG Business Analyst to contribute to a significant transformation project within a global commodities trading organization. In this hybrid role, the analyst will collaborate with various teams, including Front Office, Operations, Risk, and Finance, to analyze and enhance LNG trading processes and systems. The main focus will be on understanding the LNG trade lifecycle and translating complex business requirements into effective solutions for stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with LNG traders and various teams to gather and define business requirements.
- Analyze and document the entire LNG trade lifecycle from deal capture to settlement.
- Lead requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders across multiple functions.
- Produce detailed business requirements, specifications, process maps, and acceptance criteria.
- Identify and recommend improvements in existing LNG trading workflows.
- Support changes to LNG trading platforms and ETRM/CTRM systems.
- Facilitate the translation of business requirements into technology solutions with IT teams.
- Assist in testing, UAT, implementation, and business readiness activities.
Requirements
- Strong experience as a Business Analyst in LNG trading.
- In-depth knowledge of the end-to-end LNG trade lifecycle.
- Familiarity with deal capture, pricing, scheduling, and settlement processes.
- Experience with ETRM/CTRM platforms in a commodities trading context.
- Demonstrated ability to document complex business and functional requirements.
- Proficiency in process mapping and business analysis methodologies.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, engaging directly with traders and senior stakeholders.
- Highly desirable experience in energy trading environments or LNG organizations.
