Overview
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a leading manufacturing business on a contract basis. The role involves providing essential maintenance engineering services, including breakdown support and preventive maintenance, while collaborating with production and engineering teams to enhance equipment reliability and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide responsive breakdown support to minimize production disruption.
- Execute planned and preventative maintenance activities as scheduled.
- Diagnose electrical faults using drawings, diagnostics, and equipment history.
- Identify and rectify recurring equipment faults, implementing permanent corrective actions.
- Maintain and optimize automated food production and packaging machinery.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment reliability and uptime.
- Collaborate effectively with production and engineering teams for safe plant operation.
- Assist with machinery modifications, upgrades, and repair works as needed.
Requirements
- Time-served engineer or equivalent industry experience.
- Multi-skilled engineer with expertise in FMCG manufacturing environments.
- Proven experience as a maintenance engineering contractor.
- Ability to work with minimal direction and manage workload independently.
- Strong communication skills for effective liaison with site stakeholders.
